Resort Description
| Helengeli Tourist Village is known as an exclusive diving resort, attracting the most advanced of divers. The island is long with thick vegetation. The lagoon is small and shallow which makes for no water sports, but snorkeling is excellent, with the house reef among the best in the Maldives. The professional dive center is run by Ocean Pro with qualified staff that offer personal attention. There are two boat dives a day, and unaccompanied house reef dives are permitted. They visit a variety of great sites, mostly channel dives and thila dives. The marine life is diverse from white tip reef sharks and barracuda to leatherback turtles. As for the accommodations, the rooms are comfortable, and the food is decent. If you’re a hard-core diver looking for a resort strictly focused on diving, you can do no better than Helengeli. |
