Resort Description
| Lohifushi is a standard resort, great for surfers who want to experience the world-famous Maldivian waves. It boasts one of the best left-handers in the country and is only a short boat ride away from a number of other breaks. With such a great wave, Lohifushi is also the host-resort for the annual O’Neill Deep Blue surf competition. The island itself is large and boasts picturesque beauty, with palm tree covered beaches that stretch out into the vast turquoise lagoon. There are four room types to choose from, ranging from very basic, non-A/C rooms to spacious suites that have a few more additions and decoration. The atmosphere on the island is pretty low-key, but evening entertainment and discos are still attempted in the bar area. There is a water sports center offering a variety of sports and lessons. Diving is also offered but not as popular here. As this is a standard resort, the rooms and other facilities are nothing special, but if you are looking for a simple vacation on a beautiful island with great waves, Lohifushi will be satisfying. |
